Title: Reaching At-Risk Students in a Violent World

Synopsis: Why are so many young people seemingly at-risk. This session addresses issues relative to the safety of young people, especially boys. An emphasis is placed on understanding how to “read warning signs” for potential violence and address young people’s concerns in a non-threatening environment. This interactive workshop will help you communicate more effectively with young people and to teach them problem solving techniques. You will leave the session with the tools that provide the means for you to effectively address conflicts before they get out of hand.
